DF Mavens
Packaging Design
PROJECT OVERVIEW
DF Mavens was a dairy-free "ice cream" brand that offered a myriad of flavors which were either coconut, almond, or soy-based. They specialized on crafting desserts that catered to health-conscious customers or those with specific dietary considerations, offering options that were "better for you." My assignment involved designing a range of pint containers, each highlighting a unique flavor and base. The client stressed the importance of maintaining a cohesive visual theme across all flavors. |
CHALLENGES
I had complete creative freedom to design the pint, but the client emphasized the need to prominently feature the brand logo and the chosen flavor base—either coconut, almond, or soy. My primary challenge for this project was in communicating to the customer what this product is. I needed to design around the logo, a large circle with a unique style and font. Balancing a traditional creamery aesthetic with the preferences of a modern dairy-free audience was crucial for success. Additionally, in a crowded market of ice cream brands, the design had to be distinctive enough to grab attention and make a positive first impression on potential customers. |
